LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Planning and Zoning Committee met Tuesday to discuss city traffic ordinances, including a deadly stretch of Dixie Highway.
During the meeting, District 25 Councilmember Khalil Batshon raised the issue of a dangerous intersection at Dixie Highway and Blevins Gap Road.

He said it needs a traffic light to stop people from speeding.
Matt Bullock, the state's chief district engineer for Louisville, confirmed 18 people have died around the intersection in the last three years.
Batshon said he's been raising red flags about this issue since he took office in 2023, and expressed confusion on why the south side of Louisville continues to be neglected.
