An Edinburgh man's disturbing behaviour was noticed by staff at an Aldi supermarket before his partner fled in a car.
Alexander Donaldson was seen to be 'invading the person space' of Olivia Brailey, before she left the store in North Wales and got in a car. She then called police , and he was arrested.
Donaldson had strangled Brailey twice. Mold Crown Court heard the couple, from Edinburgh, had been staying in Llanrhaeadr when they visited the Ruthin store in March and Donaldson's "vile and manipulative" behaviour came to light, reports North Wales Live .
