ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man has been arrested for the non-fatal shooting of a 53-year-old man on Savannah Street.
On September 3, officers went to Savannah Street and found a 53-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Officers quickly applied a tourniquet, and the man was rushed to the hospital, where his injuries were determined to be no longer life-threatening.
Through an investigation, detectives found that 46-year-old Tyrone Newsome allegedly shot the victim by pulling up behind the victim, getting out of their car, firing, and then fleeing the scene.
Yesterday, October 7, the United States Marshals Task Force located Newsome on Manhattan Square Drive and took him into custody.
