Two Virginia Beach police officers have been indicted on felony charges of obtaining money under false pretenses.
Sergeant Rebecca Peyer, who’s worked for the city’s Police Department since 2007, is charged with 10 felony counts and two misdemeanor counts of obtaining money under false pretenses. Officer Brian O’Connell, who has worked at the department for about three years, is charged with two felony counts of obtaining money under false pretenses.
Peyer and O’Connell are on administrative assignment “pending the procedural administrative review of their employment status,” VBPD said in a news release.
