LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville officially introduced its newest sports team on Wednesday.

The United Football League announced a day prior that it is moving a team to the city.

The team will be called the Louisville Kings and will play five home games next spring at Lynn Family Stadium.

The UFL, formed last year by a merger of the XFL and USFL, has eight teams.

All teams practice in Arlington, Texas, and fly to game sites on weekends.

The Kings’ schedule will overlap with soccer season. Lynn Family Stadium, home to LouCity and Racing Louisville, will continue to prioritize soccer, stadium officials said.
