It provided the backdrop for one of the most talked-about TV scenes of recent years, but a Greater Manchester cafe has apparently now closed its doors.
Bolton's Amico Café first opened in 2018, and featured in the hit BBC drama Happy Valley - even creating a sandwich in honour of the show. However, a sign has appeared on the doors informing customers that it is closed.
The sign on the door simply states 'business closed down' with no further information. Amico Café's Facebook page reads as 'permanently closed', which was updated on Sunday (October 5), and the website and phone line is also currently down.
The dining spot was thrust into the spotlight in early 2023 when one of Happy Valley's most memorable scenes was shot in the venue.
