SUGAR CREEK, Mo. (KCTV) - An Independence man with a history of burglary was arrested Tuesday morning at a Sugar Creek business.

According to court documents filed in Jackson County, Irvin Rill has been charged with first-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools after attempting to rob the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge at 510 N. Sterling Avenue.

The Sugar Creek Police Department was called to the scene just before 4:45 a.m. Wednesday on a call for a burglary in progress. An employee inside the business called 911 and reported a man was armed inside the business with a gun.
