Homer, N.Y. — A man died early Wednesday after he was shot to death in Homer, deputies said.
Around 3:22 a.m., officers responded to a call in the area of Grove Street and Route 281, according to Cortland County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Chad Burhans.
When deputies arrived, they found an unresponsive man in a driveway, Burhans said. Deputies said they began life-saving measures until emergency medical services arrived on scene.
The man was taken to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, Burhans said.
The sheriff’s office did not release other details at this time.
