The McKinney North, Prosper Walnut Grove and Lovejoy volleyball teams supplied plenty of fireworks during their three head-to-head matches during the first half of the District 9-5A schedule.

Against the league’s other five teams, however, the 3-0 sweeps have piled up in droves. That was the case on Tuesday as 9-5A’s state-ranked trio all needed just three sets to find the win column and stay on one another’s heels in the race for first place.
