ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An Uber driver is behind bars after he allegedly shot a teenage girl outside a Waffle House in Dunwoody, according to police.
Officers responded to the shooting around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the restaurant located at 4532 Chamblee Dunwoody Road.
According to the investigation, five teenage girls ordered an Uber to take them home from the restaurant. When the driver arrived, he told them that he could only take four of them because he did not have enough room for all of them.
An argument between the driver and the girls ensued, escalating to one of the girls allegedly slapping the driver in the face and threatening to kill him, according to police.
Police say the driver then fired a gun, striking the girl who hit him. She was wounded in the back and both
