SUGAR LAND, Texas – A driver was killed during a road rage shooting Wednesday afternoon in Sugar Land, according to the Police Department.

The shooting was reported at 1:15 p.m. in the 12900 block of Dairy Ashford Road, near US 90.

Sugar Land police said the gunman involved has not been arrested and still on the run.

The Fort Bend District Attorney’s Office said it’s sending investigators to the scene.

The roadway will be closed while the investigation is ongoing.

Police said there is no active threat to the public. Please avoid the area until scene has been cleared.
