A Eureka woman is suing her former employer for allegedly making her wait on her male co-workers, taking their meal orders and cleaning up after them during company meetings.

In a lawsuit filed with the St. Louis County Circuit Court Wednesday, Kristen Wilken’s attorney states that Wilken faced sex discrimination and retaliation while she worked at Performance Food Group, Inc., a Virginia-based food distributor, which has a newly constructed warehouse in Berkeley.

Wilken worked as a commission-based account or area manager for Performance Food Group from April 2019 to October 2023.

The lawsuit alleges that in that time Wilken was assigned fewer accounts compared to her male counterparts, so her male colleagues had a better opportunity to make more money. Wilken was left out of meetings
