BAKER CITY, Oregon — A man was driving around Baker City on Wednesday when he discovered what he believed to be a pipe bomb. Turns out, it was.
The Baker County Sheriff's Office said dispatch received a call from a driver who noticed an object roll out from under his seat. After inspecting it, he suspected it was a pipe bomb. He then drove to the sheriff's office for assistance.
A sergeant with the sheriff's office confirmed the object was a pipe bomb, officials said. The Oregon State Police Explosives Unit went to the scene and disposed of the pipe bomb.
Nobody was injured in the incident, and police said there is an investigation to figure out how the bomb made it into the car.
