MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The head football coach of Raleigh-Egypt High School is facing drug charges.

Detectives arrested 32-year-old Trevin Wallace after they say they witnessed a drug deal.

Narcotics detectives were doing surveillance at a home on Boyle Avenue on Tuesday when they saw a man walk up to a front porch, grab a package and place it into the passenger seat of a vehicle.

This man was later identified as Calvin Gathings.

About an hour later, Gathings grabbed the package and delivered it to a man later identified as Wallace.

Gathings was then taken into custody and a search warrant was requested for Wallace’s home.

After the warrant was issued, detectives found the same package inside a backpack along with a digital scale.
