MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police say they are investigating two shootings that happened Wednesday morning that are believed to be connected.
The first call came in to MPD at 7:40 a.m. A man told officers he was walking on Bestway Drive near Tchulahoma Road when someone shot him.
He told police he did not see who shot him but that it was a person in a black sedan.
The man was shot in the thumb and had a graze wound on his other hand. He was taken to the hospital for treatment on his injuries.
The second call came in to MPD at 7:55 a.m.
A woman told police she was driving her son to school when they saw a black Nissan Altima driving erratically.
When the woman attempted to drive around the Altima, the driver fired shots at the woman and her son.
Neither the woman nor her son was
