NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has charged a Newberry County man with multiple counts related to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to SLED, Tyreek Latravious Brown, 26, was charged Tuesday with two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – First Degree. The charges follow a request for investigation from the Newberry Police Department.

An arrest warrant states that on or about June 26, 2025, Brown “knowingly and willfully” used or encouraged a 15-year-old victim to engage in sexual activity or appear in a state of nudity for the purpose of creating visual depictions using a cellphone. The materials were found during a forensic examination following the execution of a search warrant.

Brown was booked into the Newberry County Detent
