VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Vestavia Hills Police Department has arrested a man they say is connected to multiple vehicle break-ins in the Cahaba Heights, Leeds, and Jefferson County areas.

Authorities said a search warrant was executed on Oct. 6, 2025, that resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Savonte Deandre Bailey in connection to those break-ins.

Bailey is facing multiple charges through the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, including 11 counts of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, converting a pistol to a machine gun (Glock switch), unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

His bond was set at $220,000.
