SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield Symphony Hall announced a series of upcoming performances and received $250,000 for capital improvements during a media day event.
The funding, sourced from the city's $2.7 million allocation from the Gaming Commission's Community Mitigation Fund, will be used to enhance the historic venue.
Officials revealed a lineup of 25 events scheduled for the next year, aiming to bolster the local arts scene.
"We are gathered here to celebrate what's ahead for Symphony Hall," said Amanda Spear-Purchase, the Venue & Events Director. "A year that will showcase not only the incredible performances but the power of collaboration that continues to be a part of the arts community."
