HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Dozens of cyclists took to the streets of Holyoke Wednesday evening for the 3rd Annual Mayoral Bike Ride, led by Mayor Joshua Garcia and the city's Bike-Ped Committee.

The event, which began at Beyond Armour Yard on Race Street, is part of an ongoing initiative to make Holyoke a more bike-friendly community.

Participants rode through various neighborhoods, highlighting the city's commitment to promoting active and healthy living.

"This gives us a unique opportunity to not only enjoy the downtown ride but also to observe and look at our infrastructure," said Mayor Joshua Garcia. "And understand through the lens of a biker what we need to do so we can make it much more bike-friendly."
