No criminal charges will be filed in the case of August Borden, the Deshler High School teen who was seriously injured in August.
Madison County District Attorney Rob Broussard announced in a Wednesday press conference the case was now closed.
“We uncovered no evidence that would support any kind of criminal charges in this case,” Broussard said. “Instead, what we have here is more or less typical high school banter and some limited physical contact involved with no malice. No anger was involved among any of the students.
“What we have is a freak, unfortunate accident,” Broussard added.
