CLEVELAND — We needed rain and we really got some on Tuesday!

It had been almost 2 weeks since our last rainfall and conditions have been generally dry since the beginning of August. Everywhere in the viewing area recorded at least some rain. Here’s a look at some radar estimates of that rain.

The highest totals were really focused between I-90 and I-76/US-224. Radar estimates were well over 1” for many of those locations. Reports from the main airports around the region all picked up over .5”. Hopkins came in with .57”. New Philadelphia received .87”. Mansfield, Akron-Canton, and Youngstown all came in with over 1”. Even with that needed rain, most locations are still running below average for the year so far.
