PRINCETON, Ill. (KWQC) - When first responders are called to an emergency, the hours are grueling, and oftentimes stopping for a break and food are put on hold.

However, during the fire at Marquis Energy on Wednesday, local community members came together to fix that.

Michael and Ashley Taylor, owners of Faith’s Fabulous Treats in Princeton, Illinois, are no strangers to random acts of kindness. When Michael saw a plume of black smoke at the Marquis Energy facility, he knew he needed to help.

“I called my wife first thing because, you know, that’s what we do,” Michael Taylor said. “I told her we need to get some sandwiches made for these guys over there at this fire, all the first responders.”
