BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Zachary Police Department was called to a shooting in the 6500 block of Main Street on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 16-year-old who was shot in the face.

The teenager was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The investigation into this shooting remains ongoing and more information will be shared as it becomes available.
