Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation staff were cleaning Revere‘s Short Beach when a front-end loader got stuck in the mud as crews were raking seaweed. The incoming high tide soon enveloped the Milton Cat 930K, with the vehicle becoming almost entirely submerged in the ocean.

The driver self extricated, and DCR was planning to try to retrieve the front-end loader at low tide later Wednesday.

Further details were not immediately available.
