MARION COUNTY, Ore. — A 39-year-old Marion County resident, with multiple prior convictions for drug trafficking, has been sentenced to 17 years and six months in federal prison.
Ryan Gossett, who was the subject of a multi-agency investigation spearheaded by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), was detained in Bend on April 26, 2024, after fleeing prosecution for armed robbery in Marion County.
Court documents reveal that at the time of his arrest, law enforcement officers found small amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine in Gossett’s possession, as well as a handgun.
During a search of his vehicle, criminal detectives from Deschutes found more than 900 grams of methamphetamine and 330 grams of fentanyl. They also seized firearm magazines.
