An escaped New Orleans inmate who was captured after a standoff in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday is due in court for his initial appearance.

Groves was the last remaining New Orleans inmate on the run after a jailbreak at the Orleans Parish jail in May.

According to Brian Fair with the U.S. Marshals, Groves was captured after a standoff at a residence in Southwest Atlanta.

He was found near the corner of Campbellton Road and Honeysuckle Lane.

Groves was captured after a tip was called into New Orleans Crimestoppers.
