CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A South Carolina woman has been arrested for allegedly using the identity of a Georgia woman to work in the Cleveland County School District, according to the Shelby Police Department.
On Friday, August 15, officers were notified of a fraud-related incident that was reported to investigators in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The incident involved the misuse of a social security number belonging to the victim, officials said.
Investigators determined the social security number had been fraudulently used by the suspect to gain employment with Cleveland County Schools.
