PITTSBURGH, Pa. (BLACK AND GOLD NATION) -- Steelers edge rusher Alex Highsmith was a full participant at practice for the first time since Week 2 on Thursday. Highsmith has been dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out since that loss to Seattle.
The Charlotte product's practice status looks promising for him to make his return to game action on Sunday. He was confident earlier this week that he would be able to suit up against the Cleveland Browns.
“I’m feeling good. It’s a little stiff, but I’m confident this is going to be a good week of practice and that I’ll be able to go on Sunday,” Highsmith said on Monday.
In Highsmith's absence, Nick Herbig has dominated in the past three games with 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, an interception, 20 pressures and eight quarterback hits.
