LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed an executive order approving additional funds for the severe weather that happened in early April.

According to the executive order, $450,000 has been authorized from the Governor's Disaster Response and Recovery Fund, with the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management managing the funds and covering both program and administrative costs.

Officials with the Governor explained that executive action was warranted to alleviate hardship and suffering due to the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that occurred on April 2, 2025.
