ORANGEBURG, S.C. — A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the October 4 shootings on the South Carolina State University campus , President Alexander Conyers announced Thursday.
In addition to the reward, Conyers revealed plans for a new Community Safety Hub to be located inside the Hugine Suites student apartment complex, where one of the shootings occurred. The hub will be staffed around the clock by SC State Public Safety officers and will serve as a central location for outreach, communication, and safety services for students. It will also house the campus’s lost and found.
“The new hub reflects our continued commitment to campus safety and student engagement,” Conyers said.
