PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One person is dead and another critically injured after more than 20 shots were fired in South Philadelphia Thursday evening, according to police.
The shooting happened just after 6 p.m. near Broad Street and Packer Avenue.
Police say a man in his 20s was found shot multiple times throughout his body. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A second victim, also a man in his 20s, ran to a nearby bar for help after being shot twice in the torso. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Chief Inspector Scott Small said a vehicle believed to be connected to the victims was found still running and unattended near the scene.
