WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Guadalupe Clinic in Wichita kicked off a major fundraising campaign Wednesday to expand its services and meet growing demand in the community.
The clinic launched an effort to raise more than $1.7 million to add six new patient rooms, two dental chairs and additional dental services. Officials hope to raise the money by February and begin construction this spring.
Wichita City Councilmember and the clinic’s executive director J.V. Johnston, said the facility is seeing more patients each year, with dental needs becoming increasingly prevalent.
“We’ve known for a long time that basic dental services for people without insurance is a huge need in our community,” Johnston said. “Our patient services have increased 35 percent in the last two years, and we see that
