Severe drought spreads throughout GLOW region

BATAVIA — All of the GLOW region is now in a severe drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

The severe drought conditions — limited to Orleans and northern Genesee County last week — had spread quickly to encompass almost all of Western New York as of Tuesday, according to the Drought Monitor’s weekly update.
