SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A Macy’s employee was arrested for stealing more than $1,100 worth of merchandise from a distribution center in South Windsor, police said.

Police identified the suspect as 53-year-old Michael Collier of Hartford.

They said they responded to the Macy’s distribution center on Governor’s Highway on Thursday.

Reports told them that Collier stole $1,136 worth of items.

Police said they took him into custody and charged him with fourth-degree larceny.

Collier was held on a $7,500 surety bond and given a court date of Friday in Manchester.
