Approved: Abandoned textile mill sites
Council approved a resolution certifying that the Mill at Fountain Inn at 100 Ellison St. and the future Springhill by Marriott property at 300 Jones St. as abandoned textile mill sites. The two parcels were rezoned into a single planned development, effective in January 2025.
The approved designation allows the property owners to receive South Carolina Abandoned Textile Mill Site Tax Credits for the redevelopment of the properties.
