FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Charges are pending after officers searched a Fairmont tobacco store on Thursday as part of a months-long investigation.
Officers from the Fairmont Police Department, Marion County Sheriff's Department and West Virginia State Police executed a search warrant at the Smokers Club on Fairmont Avenue in Fairmont where boxes of evidence were found, according to the sheriff's department.
The search was part of a months-long investigation that began after a confidential source told law enforcement that possible illegal activity was happening at the business. During the investigation, confidential informants and law enforcement officers were sent in and were able to purchase "illegal products," deputies said. Information about what types of products has not been released
