VINCENNES (WTWO/WAWV) - Plans for a major manufacturing plant that owners said would bring 250 jobs to Knox County have been suspended, according to a press release.
AgroRenew, a bioplastics processing manufacturer of biosourced plastics, had previously announced it would be building a new plant in Knox County.
According to the press release, the company "remains fully committed to the project, but unforeseen circumstances, continued delays in process equipment deliveries, and growing financial constraints on out-of-country deliverables have introduced challenges to the construction viability of the project."
AgroRenew stated that they have transferred all of the land on Elkhorn Road back to the Knox County Indiana Development Corporation.
