BEACON – Fire early this morning engulfed a detached garage behind 17 Masters Place in the City of Beacon.

The call for a working fire in a 15-foot-by-25-foot structure came in around 6:25 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene within four minutes, extinguished the fire and protected a nearby structure that was threatened by heat and flames.

Fire Chief Thomas Lucchesi said no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Beacon City Fire Department.
