Deputies are investigating an early-morning shooting that left one man injured in the 1000 block of Tannertown Road, the George County Sheriff’s Office said.

Around 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, deputies and investigators responded to reports of gunfire and found an adult male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was taken by ambulance for treatment; his condition has not been released.

Deputies arrested Victoria Valentine, 58, in connection with the incident. She is charged with Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault and is being held at the George County Regional Jail on a $5,000 commercial bond, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials thanked responding deputies and EMS for their quick, professional response. The investigation is ongoing.
