ESCANABA — A strong defensive effort from sophomore Addie Morton led Bay College to a victory over Montcalm in four sets 25-22, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18 here Wednesday. Morton had eight of her 12 kills during the fourth and final set of the match.

“I started the game out rough,” Morton said. “I came into the fourth set with a clear mind and just trying to get back into my groove.”

After falling 25-22 to the Centurions in the third set, and trailing 4-1 early in the fourth set. The Norse responded, scoring eight of the next 11 points including a pair of kills by Morton during a five-point scoring run by sophomore Jade Jasenovsky to put the Norse up 10-7.

The game remained tight as Morton delivered a pair of kills to extend the Norse lead to 17-12.
