PHOENIX — A 6-year-old girl was killed by a suspected drunk driver on Interstate 10 while heading to the Arizona State Fair with her family.

“She didn’t deserve what happened to her. She was nothing but good," Tyus Mixon said about his daughter.

Armyah Mixon was a first grader and full of life. Family says she lit up every room she walked in.

“Every time she smiled, you wanted to smile with her. It was just that powerful," Mixon said.

Mixon said her contagious smile and cheerful spirit were often on display while singing her favorite "Frozen" songs around the house.

“She wakes up every morning singing at the top of her lungs, waking everybody up in our house. It’s her favorite thing to do. You could hear her from across the room," Mixon said.
