FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) -- The third Saturday in October will not only include fun on the New River Gorge Bridge, there will also be a cook-off for people to enjoy.

According to a press release, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, the 15th Annual Bridge Day Chili Cook-Off will take place in downtown Fayetteville, with live music by the Long Point String Band.

The press release stated that admission for the event is free and tasting tickets are just $2 per sample, which are sold in packs of five. Home cooks, local chefs, and culinary teams from throughout the region will participate in the cook-off for the title of Chili King or Queen, with the community as the judge. People can put a bead in the jar of their favorite chili to cast their People's Choice Award vote.
