WASHINGTON — A teen was injured in a shooting in the 600 block of Maryland Avenue, Southwest near the National Mall, Southwest Friday afternoon, DC Police said. At least one bullet damaged the nearby Air and Space Museum, according to a source familiar with the crime scene.
The teenager was transported from the scene conscious and breathing. Police did not give his exact age, nor did they identify the victim, but described him as an “older juvenile.”
Police have closed 6th Street SW between Maryland Avenue and E Street as they investigate.
The police have not identified a suspect, or mentioned how many suspects there might have been.
