WASHINGTON — Police are searching for the person who robbed a high school student on Monday.

Police were called to the 15200 block of Annapolis Road at 2:36 p.m. for an armed robbery. According to police, a Bowie High School student was approached by someone driving a black Acura.

The suspect demanded the student's Moose Knuckles coat. During the robbery, the victim sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

A bystander attempted to follow the black Acura down Annapolis Road. When following the car, the suspect fired two shots into the air, causing the person to stop following them.
