BERLIN, Conn. — Connecticut residents are bracing for a powerful storm that is forecasted to hit the state Sunday into Monday.

As community members prepare for strong winds and potential power outages, Eversource is getting ready as well.

The energy provider issued a release on Friday promising that it is planning accordingly and monitoring several different forecast models.

Regardless of how damaging the winds may be, Eversource operations crews are committed to responding quickly and restoring services.

Equipment is currently being prepositioned in key parts of the state to help facilitate an efficient and fast response. Eversource is also bringing in outside line workers to help restore power.
