A Sugarcreek man is in jail after attempting to use drugs to try to solicit a minor for sex earlier this week.

The interaction at a Sunoco gas station was caught on camera on Monday.

Michael Codispoti, 71, allegedly pulled up alongside the minor and reportedly began asking her if she wanted any drugs. She was on her way home from a Family Dollar store less than 100 yards from her home.

After declining the man’s solicitation and catching his face and license plate on camera, the girl stops the recording.

Dayton Police were contacted Monday night, leading to Codispoti’s arrest the next day at his Sugarcreek Township home.

He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail under a $75,000 bond. At the moment, he is charged with two counts of compelling prostitution and one count of
