PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- People who live at the Charles Place Apartments on Charles Street haven't had reliable hot water since last week, prompting several residents to contact 12 Responds for help.

"I've been boiling water to wash up and clean dishes," one frustrated resident told 12 News on Tuesday morning.

According to Wingate Management, one of the apartment building's boilers failed last week. A new unit was immediately ordered, Wingate senior property manager Kelly Dwyer Siekiera said in a statement, but the property's secondary hot water system stopped working not long after.
