TOWN OF GREENE, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - A local manufacturer had an exciting day, celebrating an accomplishment and hosting high school students for an annual event.

The Raymond Corporation held its 11th annual Manufacturing Day Event, where high school juniors and seniors from Broome and Chenango Counties had the opportunity to visit Raymond and explore the career opportunities the corporation offers.

Vice President of Operations Ryan Delaney says they continue to hold the event each year to showcase the many manufacturing jobs available right here in the Southern Tier.

"I want students to understand what opportunities are out there in manufacturing. What career fields that they could go into, what ideas they have to get into the workforce," said Delaney.
