CLEVELAND — For many, allegiance to a sports team is an unwavering, lifelong relationship. The players and venues may change, but the commitment and passion remain constant.
That’s the idea behind the "4th Quarter Club," a new outreach program for seniors launched this week by the Cleveland Cavaliers .
The club held its premiere event at Concordia at Sumner senior living center in Copley, featuring appearances from Cavs legends Campy Russell and Larry Nance Sr., Rocket Arena host Ahmaad Crump, and the senior dance team, the Wine and Goldies — for whom I once auditioned, only to be summarily rejected . But it's their loss, and I'm not bitter.
