Softball's the name of the game — and Jordy Bahl the face of inspiration — for many young Nebraska players at a Friday evening camp in Lincoln.
"I think she's just really good," said Hayzel Josoff. "She puts in a lot of effort to do what she does."
Josoff, 14, is playing with her team in a weekend "Fall Bahl Brawl" tournament at Lincoln's Sandhill Global Youth Complex. Tournament players were invited to participate in Friday's free clinic, led by Bahl and teammates.
Bahl, Nebraska's senior pitcher, said she never anticipated there'd be 400 girls at the evening event.
"This is insane and really cool, but also so crazy that there's this many kids here," Bahl said.
Before the camp rotations began, Bahl told the group that she'd sign softballs throughout the night.
